Housed in part of a building that is in itself a museum piece – a small manor house dating from the 17th century, which was used as a parsonage for over 200 years – the rooms are filled with memories of the past.
With hundreds of objects and curios, many unique and unusual, and some you may remember from days gone by, there’s something to interest everyone.
Come and spend an hour wandering through five rooms of nostalgia and local history and uncover some of our hidden treasures.

A grand Parkland abundant in wildlife and with over 900 years of history
Perfect for a walk or picnic, the tranquil, ancient parkland of Dunsland park once befitted the grand house that stood in its midst.
Purchased by Devon Wildlife Trust from British Rail in 1990, Halwill Junction is a disused railway line with a variety of habitats. The old railway track has been converted into a surfaced cycle path connecting Halwill Junction to Cookworthy Forest.
Located about 5 miles west of Holsworthy, Dunsdon is probably one of the most important remaining areas of culm grassland in Devon
Meeth Quarry is unlike any other Devon Wildlife Trust nature reserve. Its industrial past has dramatically shaped its present.
Ash Moor nature reserve lies in the heart of the Culm Natural Area in north west Devon. It contains areas of high quality culm grassland, species rich meadows and restored species rich meadows.
The Roadford Lake LNR at the northern end of the reservoir is 34 hectares of freshwater, swamp, marshy grassland, dense scrub willow carr, broadleaved woodland and coniferous plantations.
WELCOME TO NORTH DEVON’S UNESCO BIOSPHERE RESERVE
Reaching to the heights of Dartmoor and Exmoor and via the sea to Lundy, North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve is one of 669 Reserves in 120 countries designated by UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme and was the first of 6 to be designated in the UK. All exist to inspire a positive future by connecting people and nature.
